Understanding tokens
Tokens are how AI bills usage. Here's what the numbers mean for a student.
A token is roughly 0.75 words. A typical AI conversation uses 2,000–3,000 tokens. 900K Basic tokens = about 400 conversations per month.
Coach Mode uses a premium AI model for harder questions — better reasoning, deeper explanations. Basic handles everyday doubts. Most students use Basic 90% of the time.
Both Basic and Coach Mode pools refill on the 1st of every month. Unused tokens do not roll over to the next month.
